Learn how to clean your toilet like a pro with these simple bathroom cleaning tips!

Your bathroom may be the smallest place in your house, but it is also the dirtiest. It is one of the most used places in the home, and yet one of the last places anyone cleans.

But here is the thing—you needn’t dread the task of cleaning a bathroom if you have the right tools and supplies. And there is not much that you require to keep a bathroom in tip-top condition. Routine bathroom cleaning is recommended at least once a week.

• Microfiber cloth and paper towels
• Disinfectant wipes
• All-purpose cleaner
• An old bath towel or rag

Gather all your supplies in one place before you begin. That way, you don’t have to go running for a product when you are in the middle of your cleaning routine.

Step One

Begin with the main part of the bathroom—yes, the porcelain throne!

Apply a strongest toilet bowl cleaner to your toilet bowl and let sit while you clean other parts of your bathroom.

Step Two

Grab your bleach spray or disinfectant solution and spray the toilet, sink, faucet, countertop, and the walls. You can make your own home-made solution if you want with part vinegar, part demon, and part baking soda.

Step Three

Spritz the mirror with some cleaning solution. Take your microfiber cloth and moisten it. Clean the mirror and countertops. If you don’t want to use a microfiber cloth, you can also use disinfectant wipes which can be discarded after use.

Step Four

Use the paper towels to dry out any area that may be wet, like the mirror, countertop, sink, walls, faucet and the side of the toilet bowl. Work your way from the cleanest to dirtiest.

Step Five

Grab your toilet brush and scrub your toilet. Flush and then place the brush under the toilet seat to let it drip. This way, you are not left with a gunky residue in your toilet brush holder.

Step Six

Spray an all-purpose cleaner on the floor, and let it sit for five minutes. Then, grab your microfiber cloth or an old towel, moisten it slightly with water and scrub. If there are stubborn stains, then you could use bleach to remove it. If there is mold growing in the toilet, use a cleaning product that will kill the mold and mildew. You can also use a heavy dirty brush to clean your floor if it is really dirty. Wipe down the surfaces with an old rag towel.

Step Seven
