Euroluce 2019 was a field of experimentation, innovation and definitely fun. With the “Light on Time” theme, we reinterpreted space, time and sound, reflecting on their relationship with light. The result: an emotionally charged voyage!
A creative vision with integrated and smart lighting as protagonist, at the service of design, capable of satisfying new concepts of aesthetics and functionality. In line with the Euroluce mood and the general mood of the Milan Design Week, we decided to provide a unique experience, where it was possible not only to see, but to “live” all our most innovative products which interpret the new way of seeing light. In short, a stand full of news.
An elegant and high-impact entrance, with an authentic Diphy cascade welcomed visitors, guiding them into the stand. One after another, various themed environments followed until flowing into the agora, the large central square: a perfect stage for speeches with Linea Light Group partner designers, as well as a beautiful setting to welcome the personalities who made Stilnovo great, creating true icons of light and design.
This year’s protagonist was the meeting of light and sound, a combination applied in the sound absorbent light fixtures such as Derby, winner for the prestigious 2019 Red Dot Award. Also reinterpreted was Tour, with sound absorbing panels of primary and non-primary colours, which are unmistakeably reminiscent of Mondrian’s works.
Demí, the new, transparent, dome-shaped suspension with OptiLight TechnologyTM, also awarded with the 2019 Red Dot Award, accompanies a thrilling video that recalls scenic elements through dimmed lighting effects. Other noteworthy pieces are the new Dresscode table lamp which, thanks to the interchangeable elements that make it up in various finishes, gets dressed and undressed, changing its look every time; and the Sparkling floor lamp by Pio and Tito Toso, brilliant and contemporary in its prestigious white/transparent and bronze/transparent finishes.
The Ink assemblable system, in its wire anchoring and wall/ceiling versions, is the system of Cross Optics Technology ™ lenses that channel and reopen the light beam of Giotto, confirmed their status as some of the most popular new professional solutions.
In the museum section, two creations by street artist Ron Miller were illuminated by spotlights with various optical solutions, shaping the light to emphasise the spatiality of the works or enhancing them by lighting the walls with a wall-washing effect.
Of the new products in the “Light decorative” section, the new suspension version of the Reflexio stands out, as well as the new Aruba versions in transparent glass with engraved edge.
In the office space, many people stopped to get a hands-on look at the recent additions to the Rollip family, namely the Rollip60 and RollipPRO versions, and the Clear modular solution. In the large central square, on the other hand, the new Honey design suspension by Pio and Tito Toso accompanied professional solutions for discretely lighting common spaces and walkways such as the Orma and Suelo uplights and award-winning path-marker Envelope, recent 2019 IF Design Award winner. New outdoor solutions were arranged all around, such as Optiwall, Bob18, Opti-Pole, Apache and Pistillo.
Discrete, but extremely innovative thanks to its great flexibility and the possibility of being bent and twisted any which way, Rubber 3D revamps the stripLED world.
Last but not least, visitors were able to appreciate the Stilnovo solutions, a brand recently acquired by Linea Light Group: the stand displayed authentic pieces of Italian design history: Buonanotte by Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni, Valigia by Ettore Sottsass, Triedro, Topo and Minitopo by Joe Colombo, the iconic Megafono created by the Stilnovo Style Centre, Gravita by Antonio Macchi Cassia, Fante and Lampiatta by De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi, and many others…
Renowned products and designers, multiple award winners over the years, now an integral part of the Linea Light Group portfolio, ready to revitalise them, breathing new vital lymph into the fame and style of a brand, Stilnovo, which dominated the Italian and international scene in the sixties and seventies.
The Stilnovo creations, which will soon be re-engineered by our R&D Department, will thrill you once again. If you liked the innovation of Linea Light Group solutions at Euroluce... be advised that the best is yet to come!
