Over 20 years experience with Hospitality Uniforms has taught us a thing or two about how to match a style to a business. Having the right look can elevate a customers perception of their surroundings, even if they’re totally unaware it’s happening.
A classy and stylish uniform can cost a lot less than you might think. Even on a budget you’d be surprised at the quality looks you can achieve. Our range of both shirts and aprons is extensive; add customisation and it’s easy to get that bespoke, unique uniform that everyone wants.
Matching an apron to a shirt to a waistcoat might sound simple but it’s easy to get it wrong; and if you’re on a budget this just narrows your options even more. So, how do we go about choosing a style that’s right? It all depends on you. Many of our customers will have an idea of what they want before contacting us, so we can work with them to achieve their vision. Alternately though, if you haven’t a clue where to start we can help push you in the right direction, guiding you through the whole process.
Primarily your uniform style will be dictated by its use. You will more than likely stay away from a mandarin collar gingham shirt and leather bar apron for your formal banquet and likewise a butler style dress shirt, waistcoat, tie and white apron wouldn’t necessarily go with your trendy bar look. That’s obviously not set in stone; just look at the uniforms on Channel 4’s First Dates for example.
A good starting place is the apron. We have a huge selection to choose from which can make even this to be a daunting task. Depending on this choice, whether it’s fabric, canvas, denim or leather, you then have to make more decisions. Fabric weight, colour, pocket style and apron length, and that’s without throwing customisation into the mix. But getting that initial standard style will go a long way to dictating which shirt is for you.
Shirts too can be bought as standard or customised to suit. Again we have a large selection to befuddle you but the staff at Kylemark are always on hand to help. We know the right questions to ask and after an initial chat we can start to come up with a cohesive look for you.
An example of this is the Buzzworks Group. Comprising of several different venues all over the country, each business has its own unique taste. Their last order for an updated uniform for their newly renovated bar The Tree House started with an initial phone call. From then we progressed to some visuals to narrow the options more. Finally we presented several apron/shirt combinations for them to try on and get the feel.
The finished product of denim style shirt and canvas apron might be simple but both were customised in subtle ways to make the whole look unique and bespoke. The standard shirt was given a mandarin collar with roll sleeves and the apron now has antique brass eyelets for the ties.
Customisation really is the way forward if you are looking for that exclusive design; and it’s simpler than you think. Below a standard off the shelf apron and shirt have been altered to make a one of a kind uniform.
Of course, you can still get that stylish look with stock garments, all you need to do is match them accordingly. So, no matter what your requirements, Kylemark have the knowledge and the background to help you choose.
